We saw history being made on this year's Main Event day 8.
Michael Mizrachi became the first person to win the Players Championship and make the Main Event November Nine.
And it certainly wasn't easy.
He took chances and won, but others got their chips in good only to suffer brutal beats...

Day 7 was yet another do-or-die day for big stacks and short stacks alike.
The difference between the chip haves and have-nots increased as the rapid bustout rate continued.
The field was cut from 78 to 27 in less than 12 hours, and the chip leader at the start of play didn't make it through the day.

His is the name that will be engraved on the base of the David 'Chip' Reese Memorial Trophy this year.
We were there, and we can say that it was an incredibly satisfying event to watch.
Congratulations Grinder!
