WPT at Bay 101 2011 Day 2
16 March 2011

Day 2 is a day of attrition and transition at the Bay 101 Shooting Star event. The tables switch from 9-handed to 6-handed when 36 players are left. And play continues until there are just 24 players left, no matter how long it takes.

The lovely, talented, and opinionated Royal Flush Girls were on hand to do videos, sign autographs, pose for photos, and to do interviews. They don't just show up for the TV table, and they're not just spokesmodels.

Mike Sexton seems to be making a habit of going deep in WPT events, and he survived many all-ins during the day. He managed to run his short stack back up to just slightly below average by the end of the day. His style is the very definition of "tight-aggressive."

Play ended at about 12:30am, when John Juanda busted in 25th place. It almost seemed like he simply didn't want to have to come back and start day 3 short-stacked. Better to bust out now and go home.

Play continues 6-handed tomorrow, down to the final TV six.
