WSOP10 Main Event - Day 5
CEO "Rocket Boy" 14 July 2010

0001
Juha Helppi reflects on another player's double-through (spiking runners for a full house.)

This year's Main Event field had been thinned by 97%+ by the time we showed up, and the enormous Amazon Room was mostly empty. What a difference 8 days makes.

0002
Christian "charder" Harder does some mad texting about that player's running full house.

We spotted many well-known pros of all ages, including the one and only Johnny "Orient Express" Chan. And, of course, the man whose inscrutable thought processes have spawned a thousand silly prop-bets: Johnny Lodden.

0003
What does Johnny Lodden think?

0004
Hasan "Ha-saaaan Ha-biiiib!!!!" Habib in a pensive moment.

0007
Jean-Robert Bellande rocks some Poker Stars stickers.

0005
Johnny Chan looked simultaneously bored and content as he dominated his table.

In the final hour of play on day 5, the player count dropped from 242 to 196. Bustouts and double-ups happened left and right. This may have been triggered by the $7k payout increase from 244th to 243rd place.

The first player to bust on day 6 will get $48,847, but each and every remaining player wants the big cheese. November Nine TV glory, a shot at major sponsorship, and of course the first prize of $8.9 million. This year's Main Event just might be one for the ages, but it's still way too early to make any predictions.
